Context

Accurate information is key

CBRE, working with the University's building infrastructure and maintenance team, needed a dependable record of the whole campus. As with all facilities management, accurate information is key to efficient design, the development of existing spaces and the management of the site.
The project ran for several months, with teams scanning the interior spaces at night to minimise disruption.

Outcome

17 buildings, one master model

Platinum 3D's in-house Revit modellers used the data from over 5,000 scans to create LOD3 models of each building. All of them can be linked into a geo-referenced campus master model, and they are now used in the FM process as accurate base-level information.
