Context

An icon, measured

Built for the 2012 Summer Olympics, the London Stadium is now a multi-purpose outdoor stadium and home to Premier League club West Ham United. For a structure of this scale, accuracy and data clarity were critical.

Approach

Stadium Upgrade

Using the most robust and latest Leica laser scanners (the RTC360, P20 and P40) for speed, accuracy and data quality, our teams carried out over 1,500 scans to document the stadium, producing a point cloud of more than 12 billion points.
A Leica LGS file was created so the client can view and interrogate the complete point cloud in Leica JetStream and TruView.
